Will a 500w PSU be able to power this?

Yes, should be fine. But I would suggest getting a better one. Here are two decent ones for fairly cheap depending on your price range.

The thing about power supplies is, cheap ones can end up being much more expensive than an expensive power supply. They often use poor quality components, bypass safety features (such as over-voltage or surge protection), and may not even meet their rated power. Because of this combo, if the power supply dies, the failure can be catastrophic due to the lack of safety features, and can send a damaging surge through the computer that can take the motherboard, CPU, and other parts with it. Spending a little more now for safety and stability can save you a lot in the long run.
