Will a 600 watt psu handle I7 5820k & gtx 970?

I recently built a new rig with I7 5820k + msi gaming 7 mobo 16 gig corsair lpx ddr4 3000. I`m using my old 600 watt rosewill psu temporarily. I`ve ordered a corsair Hxi 1000 watt psu and a Msi gtx 970 separately. Pretty sure the card is going to beat the psu hear by a large margin. I have cpu overclocked to 4.4 @ 1.27 volts. Only other things that are drawing power H1ooi water cooler + 3 case fans and a ssd. Could i attach the card & run games temporarily on the 600 watt without hurting anything?

It will be fine. The GTX970 is fairly low power at about 150W and even overclocked, the CPU won't use more than 200W, so you are mostly good. Exactly which model of Rosewill. some are not for high-performance systems like yours.

Its Old. From around 2007. not used much though. Just got email that the new psu has shipped so Hope i don`t even have to go down that road! Thanks for the input!

It will likely last until your new PSU arrives, but you may use a lot of the 'goodie' in your primary capacitors.
