Will a A4-5000 cpu Bottleneck an RX - 460

Solution

The CPU is old to begin with. It doesn't have a powerful IGPU, and it doesn't utilize hyperthreading. It's a weak CPU for any task to begin with, and will give you very notable bottlenecks on games. 🙁

Some of the older HD series from AMD, and something like a 750Ti or even a 550Ti from NVidia. However, lowering your standard for bottlenecking doesn't give better performance. For example, throwing, say, a Titan Xp in your machine would make it very powerful, but the weakness of your CPU would definitely cripple it. As you go down the tier, the crippling becomes less and less notable, because you're getting weaker cards. The performance is still increased based on your system and what games you play, but it isn't optimal. A 1050Ti in this system will definitely make things MUCH better, not not as optimally so as if you'd put a more evenly match i3 or even a Pentium G4XX, or a Ryzen. Even a Ryzen 3 would compliment this card well. Even a A10-7890K would do pretty well with this particular GPU. (1050Ti, not TITAN Xp) Your bottleneck isn't so severe you can't play anything, and isn't worth downgrading yourself to something like a 750Ti. :)

Im not downgrading my current computer settings a friend wanted to know what GPU can support his A4 - 5000 cause his integrated GPU is terrible and just wants a little boost in game performance. i honestly dont care if its a gpu from 2008 i just want to know what GPU wont bottleneck the A4 - 5000 even though its super weak. Any medium or high end GPU that can support the A4 - 5000

Like he said it would be a 500 or 600 series GPU. However what OS is he running? If it's Windows 10 Nvidia doesn't have drivers for those cards. The only card it would be a 700 series. So I would say maybe a GT 730?

Could an A4 - 5000 support an ATI radeon 4870? cause you Know AMD and their products.

Could it support an R7 - 240

What system is he actually running here ??
That a4-5000 is generally a notebook processor so I word assume he's running a cheap branded prebuild best case scenario??

I'd be as concerned with mb compatibility with certain gpu's as much as the actual cpu itself.
