will a a8-5500 work well with a hd7870?

So im planning to buy a hd7870 to play battlefield 4 and i have a a8-5500 cpu 3.2 ghz
is this a ood card for this cpu?

Yes, in most games they'll run fine.

I wouldnt bother with an APU, if your spending decent money on a mid range GPU. Try something like a 6300
