Question Will a amd bulldozer fx-6350 am3+ work in a am3 motherboard

Hi im looking into getting a am3+ CPU but only have a am3 motherboard will it work and do I need to bios update the board

no the cpu will overheat the vrms and they both die don't bother go straight to entry level ryzen. 2400g or r5 1600 + board and mem would be about the same price with superior performance anyway.

Most definitely not. Ryzen is AM4.

old foxconn no way no vrm heatsink weak 3+1 power phase it won't work don't do it, you won't get the cpu temp stable, and even if it did it will barely run any modern game buy a new entry level ryzen, am4 board and ddr 4 memory, you will have nothing but problems otherwise. FX is way into the long grass now. You are buying a problem, not a solution. It is absurd to even contemplate.

I have right now a gaming pc but in putting on together for my little sis birthday and I had the old pc in my spare room so I was looking to upgrade it
