Will a Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard bottleneck my rig?

I'm picking parts for my friends new computer, the motherboard is rather cheap but supports AM3+.

In this case i'm using a FX 6300 with a asus gtx 660.

My short question is: Will this motherboard be a bottleneck or are there any better alternatives for around the same price?

It uses the older 760G chipset, but it does has a nice fast Hyper Transport 3.0 (5.2 GT/s). So if O/C'ing isn't too important to you, it should be fine. Ideally, you'd want to look for a 9-series chipset for the Bulldozer/Vishera CPUs.

Aware of that, however yes we'll be overclocking his system. I chose an aftermarket cooler for that.

Can you recommend some 990 series chipsets for around the same price? Another 20$ Shouldn't be a problem though.

I doubt you'll find a new ASRock 990FX Extreme3 for $65 - $85. But the ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 is a nice board for $90: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131872 if it doesn't have to be mATX size.
Just don't expect to use the 2nd PCIe X16 slot for a 2nd card. It is only X4 bandwidth electrically and will drag down performance.
