Will a Be quiet Pure Power 10 600W be enough for a GTX 1080ti?

Hey,

I got a pretty decent deal on a GTX 1080ti recently. My only concern is that my power supply is not fit for the task. My specs are:

i7 8700k overclocked to 4,7 on all cores cooled by a Dark Rock pro 3

2x 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz Ram

2x SSDs and a hard drive

5 case fans

Power Supply: Be quiet PURE POWER 10 600W Silver

So will my Power Supply be good enough to run a 1080ti? Will I be able to keep the overclock on the CPU and can I overclock the GPU with it as well.

Thanks for the help!

I personally see Be quiet as a brand that sells only with sponsorships instead of good quality.
Their past PSUs have a pretty bad reputation too though the new ones seem decent.

As with your PSU it's still considered to...
Looking at reviews it's hard to say, if it was one of be quiets older PSUs i would have recommended getting a new one asap but this new one seem decent. I figure you could try it with the 1080 ti and if it starts crashing get a new psu.

On a side note: i personally wouldn't buy a single product from be quiet.

The Pure Power 10 is the latest revision in Be Quiet’s Pure Power line.

It is good quality. Similar to the Corsair CX grey label series.
Wattage wise it will support your system fine, and would allow for some cpu / GPU overclocking.
I’d personally use a higher quality PSU for such a high performing system.

Keeping it as a side discussion, why?

I would recommend getting a new PSU, better quality than what you have.

And at least 650w for that system.

Thank you, guys, for the input. So, to summarize: My power supply is less then optimal but will be fine for the time being. But I should be looking for a new power supply in the not too distant future? Is that fair to say? Any suggestions?

But I am still wondering what was/is “wrong” with my current power supply? I remember reading reviews that said it was a decent mid-range power supply. Is it just that the other components are “too” high grade and therefore you should get a more expensive PSU? Thanks again

As with your PSU it's still considered to be a budget PSU and were talking about expensive and power hungry parts being overclocked here.

As for recommendations: 650W-750W
EVGA G2 and G3
Corsair RM and TX
SeaSonic Prime and Focus
Super Flower Leadex and Golden Green
