Looking at all of their 1080p 27/28 inch models. (Yes, i know 1080p isn't ideal for this size). Probably the GW2760HS since it is $250 CAD right now.

1st use: Everyday PC stuff / Movies / TV

2nd use: Games .. Emulators / Platform / RPG / Third Person Shooters Mostly. I'll play the single player campaign in an FPS from time to time.

Input lag seems OK on these (10 to 23 ms). I am mostly worried about what i am reading about pixel response (Claim 4 to 5 ms.. actually 10+). All the reviews make it sound horrible. I'm sure it is compared to a 1ms TN 144Hz Gaming monitor! heh. Currently i do all my gaming on a cheap RCA 768p TV set up as a secondary monitor. I never really noticed anything wrong with it. Until i tested it today. If i can deal with this..

.. you think i'll be OK with VA? I feel like the horrible ghosting of VA panels might be a massive improvement! lol

Yea it's old. Really cheap though. Even if it is only a tiny bit better than what im using now i'd be happy. I duno what to do. I hate TN. VA is slow as fuck. Cant stand IPS glow. :/

I am a fan of the va panel benq monitor. I have the 27" and have had it a few years now, still like new and movies look fine and up close use for a computer too. Just wish widescreen movies always fit the entire screen, but that's probably with all monitors.
