hi im looking to upgrade my gpu from an r7 200 series gpu to an rx 480 but my case was from a pre-built pc that my friend gave me the case from, i have attempted to find the type of case and have contacted the manufacturer of the pc's but have had no luck with them telling me the case and its compatibility with gpu's so i wondered if it is possible that anyone else could help

the company that made the pc according to my friend was fierce pc, theyre a company here in the uk
the specific type of rx 480 is the msi gaming x, if thats not possible i may go for the stock cooler version or if anyone has a recommendation for an equally quite but smaller variant im open to suggestions

also before anyone says the valid point of just buying a new case, i have become very accustomed to this case and like the way it fits my setup so i would only like to change it if absolutely necessary to do so, also i know this is alot to ask of people to attempt to tell me if a gpu will fit just because of a previous gpu but any help would be appreciated

Solution
If you use something like Speccy, to find your exact model of videocard, then you can go to the manufacturer's website and get the specs. This will tell you the size, no measuring required.

ok ill try that now, thanks for the idea and quick responce
