so im upgrading my cooler and was thinking of the dark rock 4 because of how quiet it is but what wondering would it out perform a ml120l with two p12 artic fans on it?
aida64 for 13mins with stress cpu fpu and cache got 75c cpu temp on aida64 but on ryzen master 81-82c

Case: gamemax f15m
Cpu:ryzen3600

Solution
If you are asking for preference, I would recommend the Dark Rock 4 (pro, non Pro) over the ML120.

I'm not much of an advocate for 120mm AIOs unless the requirement of a very small chassis makes smaller CPU coolers makes them a requirement.

Solution
I have exactly the same problem. I have a 3600 processor and I'm thinking about changing the cooling system to
be quiet! Pure Rock 2
or
Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120L RGB

Both cooling systems are currently on Amazon for similar money, around 40 pounds. The two most important things for me are the performance and volume level generated by these cooling devices.
As for the latter, be quiet! rather wins, but I don't know how with efficiency, e.g. at lower fan speeds in ML120L.

Did U do OC on your CPU or a temperature results from AIDA64 are on stock settings?

120mm AIO like a Corsair H60 is about 140w. Budget aircooler like CM hyper212 is about 140w. Happen to have almost identical performance.

With the sheer amount of budget/midgrade cpu coolers that perform the same or better than a 120mm AIO for less cash, it gets pretty hard to recommend that small of an AIO for anything less than tiny cases that just do not have the cpu clearance for even a budget tower.

I prefer liquid over air, loved my little H55, but even I gotta draw the line somewhere with recommendations.

Dark rock 4 is @ 180w with really good fans. The ML120 is @ 140w with RGB garbage fans. No comparison.

🤔 interesting... same price, but excelent performance 210 TDP 😱
I wonder how it looks when it comes to noise levels compared to Pure Rock 2, but to be honestly, the two-color design is awful and one color is much more expensive 😳

p.s i found this:
https://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Noise-small-2.png

so I have to admit that 3,5 dBi diference between this two is realy good. especialy that is big diference in performance 210 TDP to 150. But stil be Quiet! looks better with MSI B550M Mortar wi-fi... 🤣
