I am not sure is this the right place to ask but if I am posting in wrong section sorry 
Soon my Transcend drive failed after 11 years of life and I make an image of the dying drive. The file is .img. My question is when I eventually flash the img to other drive will the files will be in their folders and basically will everything will be as before. Excuse me if the question is stupid
Want to add that the drive was external and it contained only videos and photos. It was only for keeping such files. The drive wasn't with OS on it. So that's the question. Again sorry if it's stupid and if i missed to add something. Waiting for your answers
