Will a DVI to VGA cord support 144Hz?

I recently got a 144Hz monitor and realized that I didn't have a DVI port. I am wondering if I get a DVI to VGA cord will support 144Hz.

Not at 1080p. VGA used to support at least up to 120hz, but these were on small resolutions.

F**k. Would DVI to HDMI support?

Until HDMI 2.0 is used, HDMI will not support 120hz. Your only options are dual link DVI-D or Displayport.
