Will a freesync monitor negatively affect anything if I'm using a Nvidia card?

I've been looking around for monitors and I'm pretty hooked onto the Acer XG270HU 27". It seems to be a free sync screen so I have no idea how it will act with a non AMD card. Would it act like any old monitor or will there be some difference?

It will act just like a regular monitor, and if in the future Nvidia decides to support Freesync, it'll work with that (don't hold your breath though.)
