So my dads friend built me a computer long time ago, and it has an intel core i2 q9400 quad core, and the motherboard model is of428d. I want to stick the gtx 660 I found on ebay in my computer, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with the board. I'm also certain that my psu isnt good enough, but I have no idea on what psu I have. Any replies are very appreciated. :)

I can't seem to find the exact motherboard model. Is this like a Dell computer or something along those lines? The main thing you wanna look at is the card slots on the motherboard. The video card you are looking at is likely to be a 16x PCIe slot. I am assuming your board will take it. The only difference is your board might have a 16x PCIe 2.0 slot instead of a 3.0 slot, but they are backwards compatible with each other. Just as long as it's a 16x PCIe slot. If you need more details on PCIe slots, hit up google.

Um, yeah, its made by dell. I found it on amazon, and it does have a 16x PCIe slot. Not sure if its 2.0 or 3.0, or even older then that. The only thing I'm worried about is my power supply, I'm not sure if it has enough wattage to support a graphics card like that. Anyways, thanks for responding.
