just as the title says. i will only be relying on the integrated gpu on my cpu for the meantime until i get a discrete gpu in a couple of weeks and by then i will also be getting a decent psu. so, will a generic psu last me a couple of months? just in case. also, my specs are as follows:

i3 3210
asrock b75m itx
1x4gb 1333mhz ddr3 ram
64gb ssd
bitfenix prodigy

This. You buy a generic PSU and you're putting your entire rig on the line. Generic PSUs have a much higher fail rate than anything else on the market. You can buy a much higher quality PSU for less than $50 than you would think. Here's a couple of choices:

- Antec Earthwatts E380: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033
- Seasonic S12 II 430W: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151074

Buy a good one now and your system will last. Buy a cheap one and it blows up or shorts out on you and takes your system with it.

Maybe I mis-read something. My answer was based on the assumption that the OP was already in possession of a "cheap" PSU. If that's not true and the actual question was/is should I buy a "cheap" PSU my answer is HELL NO!!!
