Hi all,
I am currently wanting to take advantage of a Black Friday Sale, and put some bonus money into a GPU update. I am currently thinking about getting the Aorus 2070 Super. https://www.aorus.com/GV-N207SAORUS-8GC
I just want to make sure that I will get a performance boost without having to upgrade other components. My current specs are out dated to say the least, but at one point they were pretty great.
CPU - i7 4930K @ 4.2ghz
24GB RAM
Currently 2 290x Vapor X crossfired
X-79 Deluxe Motherboard.

Appreciate any advice on if the upgrade will help.

I mostly game at 1440p.

Thanks!

"It is worth noting that the RTX 2070 SUPER is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RTX 2070 SUPER 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. This combination between RTX 2070 SUPER and Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40GHz has less than 8% bottleneck in many games and is perfect match to avoid FPS loss. 4K gaming is joyous on this RTX 2070 SUPER , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average. This combination between RTX 2070 SUPER and Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40GHz is a perfect match to avoid FPS loss."

Thanks for the response I have a Corsair 1000w HX1000i power supply so I would assume that it is more than enough.

I'm sure the 2070 Super would indeed be a nice bump up from your current XFire setup.
Best way to check though, is to play your games - use HWINFO, or Msi Afterburner, and monitor gpu usage, and cpu usage - each core/thread! Looking at the cpu usage at a whole is wrong; the cpu can become a limitation with just one thread.
Anyway, take note of which maxes out the most often; that would be the one an upgrade would see the most benefit from.
