Will a graphics card affect CPU perfomance

i7-8700k
Gigabyte z370xp , 1x16g ram
GTX570. I just want to ask if the graphics card is affecting the perfomance of the cpu ? I do video editing Pinacle studio do freeze while editing.

I wouldn't think so. The single channel ram might be an issue. I know the 8700k likes duel channel. I don't know if it's enough of a problem to freeze video editing though.

need dual channel ram and if you don't have one get a SSD as it helps a LOT for video editing..

ALSO check your temps.. it could just be overheating maybe if its..
