[SOLVED] Will a gt 1050 run on the 042P49 dell motherboard

Hello. I was about to get a new graphic card before i heard a lot of critics regarding dell computers but well it's too late the damage is already done since i bought this computer a while ago. Anyway i was wondering if i can get the gt1050-gtx 950 or gt 1030 to run on the motherboard which is a 042P49. The computer is a dell optilex 3010 with 4.376'' height and 6.6" length for the pci 16 slot. Also will getting a new psu cause any problems for the motherboard? In other sense does it have a compatibility thingy too? Thanks alot

You should be able to use either GPU (GT 1030 or GTX 1050) in your system as long as you don't get a GPU that requires an external PCIe power connection. The 3010 originally supported GPUs with similar power requirements. See here:

Thanks a lot for the fast answer. What about the 950 gtx will it cause any probs?.
Also won't i have case problems? I mean for the size

The GTX 950 requires external power. The stock Dell PSU is not sufficient to power it.
