I'm planning to upgrade my gtx 970 to a gtx 1070Ti. The only think i don't know is if it will work with an i5 4570. Will it be fine or will it bottleneck? thanks.

Well from what Ive heard people can max out games at 4k without an issue with haswell i5 and i7 since they have awesome single core perfomance.
Well most of games are GPU intensive rather than CPU.
And i disagree that there is little difference between old FX series and intel, there is a BIG one, single core perfomance which amd is a weakspot but its good at multitasking, even at ryzen its same thing.

Will work...and the question around bottlenecking really depends on the game you have in mind. For a lot of games there is even only little FPS differences between old/new Intel/AMD CPUs.
To get the max out of the 1070ti you would probably need a K-CPU and some overclocking anyways. Thus go for the upgrade and compare the results.

Thanks for the answer, so this means that it all depends on how the games are optimized. I'll be fine with GPU intensive games but no so much with CPU intensive games, like witcher 3 lets say.

I think the i5 will be maxed out 100% i dont expect stuttets since its true quad core. Well there is always an upgrade path to i7 which would last you for another 3-4 years, depending how game industry changes.

Look up for youtube benchmarks of linus and jayztwocents im quite unure about rest, but if you know what is msi afterburner you can watch that youtube benchmarks also since they hardly can be fake.
