I also have a 20ish inch monitor I dont know how much that factors into the power usage.

I'm planning on buying a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130932 for pretty cheap. I was wondering firstly if my psu would handle it, it says it ecommends 500 watts which is what I have.. but if it recommends 500 watts would I be playing it not safe by buying this and installing it.

I was also wondering how much the bottleneck would be on my cpu, if I overclocked to about 4.1ghz instead of the factory preset.

Yeah I bought the processor a while ago and didnt want to shell out for a gpu so thought it was a good deal. I think I will buy the card since I'm getting ti really cheap like a little bit under 200 dollars, and it seems like I could hold onto it for a long time to come.

Hopefully I may even be able to trade some my processor in the future for a fx 4350 or a 6300 if I'm lucky. TY guys for the advice.

get the gtx 760 for now, and upgrade your motherboard and processor later when you got bucks in your hand. I would recommend FX 6300 processor at least to start with. Here are the motherboard and cpu:
