Will a gtx 970 fit my case?

Solution
Considering that the G1 won't fit in my case which seems a lot larger, i'd say no the G1 wouldn't fit. However the strix might. If however your case doesn't have drive cages in the front you might be clear considering that the dimensions would fit either one of them. The best way to check is pop off the side panel and meaure the space you have from the back of the case to as far as you can go to the front over your PCI-E X16 Slot. If it has about an inch more than 12.28" then it will fit the G1, if it has exactly that or less than an inch clearance it will fit but VERY tightly (Which might cause problems with cables.) Using the same procedure as with the G1 but with 11" instead of 12.28" you can see if it will fit the Asus Strix.

Thx for reply Minky7.
I did measure it, and you are right.
G1 is not going to fit this case.
There is drive cage and it is just about 11" PCI slot to drive cage.
Do you think Asus Strix will be okay?
If not, I have to get new case that will fit G1.
Much appreciated again.

The strix might fit if the space is exactly 11" or more, when your working in an environment that small i'd check and double check the measurment. Also I noticed you said PCI slot, did you mean PCI-E X16 or PCI, because those graphics cards (as do most others) use PCI-E X16.

Agreed, although the PSU has enough wattage it's most likely low quality. When I upgraded my graphics card my PSU (Thermaletake TR2 500W) was too low quality ,and I got a few crashes, so I upgraded to a EVGA 650W Supernova G2 PSU.

I meant PCI-E X16.
Sigh.. I never expect case size is going to be an issue.
If strix doesn't fit, I need to get a new case anyway, but if I'm getting a new case, I want G1.
I'm in dilemma now..
Thx again bud.

PSU came with the case died like 3 years ago.
One I'm using is Antec VP450F 450w.
I heard 970 requires 550w or more.
So I'm getting new one, but haven't decide which one.
Any recommendation?
Also, I don't plan to overclock, so does 80 certified, bronze, gold things really necessary?
Much appreciated.

No problem, always happy to help!

Solution
You could get a Bronze one then, if you can afford it and don't plan to install a more power hungry card than the 970(likely, as the 970 consumes relatively little power), go with Seasonic's S12II or M12II series 520W. If you do intend to install another card with 200W or more power consumption, get the 620W.

My recommendation is this if you're sticking with the 970 for the foreseeable future:

Or this if you intend to install a heftier card in the future:
