Will a GTX 970 work on my motherboard?

I am considering upgrading my graphics card, but I don't know if it is compatible with my motherboard. I have the GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P and I want to get an EVGA GTX970. Are they compatible with each other?

Also, it says at least a 500w PSU, I have a 650w, but I'm not sure about the Amps on the rail thingy.

I run a 650w myself. Everything looks good other than its a bronze. If its the best you can afford it will work fine.

Sure is. Best of luck to you! I run a 970 with a 8350 on a 970 chipset. Although I would reccomend going to a 990
