Hello everyone! I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm getting ready to upgrade my PC. I'm going little by little. The first piece I was thinking of upgrading was my GPU. Now, I was wondering if I'm able to use a GTX 970 on my system.

My SPECS:

Case: NZXT Tempest

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 920 @2.67GHz

MB: ASUS P6T

RAM: G.Skill RipjawsX Series DDR3 8GB 1800MHz

Thanks!

I figured I would be. The only thing I was wondering if it will bottleneck (however you spell that) for having an old CPU and motherboard. Does it matter? Or it only matters if you have a good power supply to power it up?

I see. That makes sense. I was just confused on that subject since my PC is about 5 years old. I yes lol I am gaming 😀

Do you think I can still get atleast 60fps with the GTX970 on The Witcher 3?😱

Man I didn't know that. I don't know why a lot of people have been saying that you'll get around 60+ FPS with the card. I've even seen some videos and then only get around 40 FPS average.

Anyways, thank you so much for your help. I really hope the GTX 970 is a big jump from the GTX 580 that I have xD
