Will a GTX 970 Work with a MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) MotherBoard

I am looking to upgrade to a newer GPU, such as a 970, last year I upgraded my computer with a 750 Ti and a 500W Power Supply, I know the PSU is good because I had already looked for this information, All I need to know is whether I can get a GTX 970 with a MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) MotherBoard and it work fine.

If the PC recognized the newer UEFI BIOS of the GTX 750 Ti, it will work fine with the similar GTX 970. Just be sure the 500W PSU is a quality unit w/2 x 6-pin connectors.

It is a Corsair 500M , I am pretty sure it has some extra cords, seeing as I had many before we put the cover back on.
