[SOLVED] will a HD 5750 support my PC?

Hello guys, I wanna buy a HD 5750 because its better than my Recent GT 710. will the HD 5750 supports my PC Specs? (Please don't ask for another GPU Upgrade!)


CPU: Intel Pentium G2020
GPU: NVIDIA GT 710 1GB (Planning to Upgrade to Radeon HD 5750 1GB)
PSU: Green GP380A (380WATT)
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte H61M-S2PV (REV 2.2)
RAM: 4GB DDR3-1333 (2x2 RAM)
HDD: Hitachi HDS721050CLA362

Will that AMD Card (HD 5750) Support my PC Specs above?

It should, but I'm not sure it's that much better than your 710. It's faster yes, but it was a low end card from a decade ago. The official TDP is over 75W so most models should ask for a 6pin plug. (I had a 5750 once and I can't remember if mine did, but I know some did and some didn't.) The draw is ~4x more than your 710 so you might need a PSU upgrade when using the 5750.

If this is for gaming the entire setup needs an upgrade. I'm sure you know that. I don't mean to be rude, but both cards are too slow to handle modern gaming.

Hello, Thanks for your Feedback, I only want it for Light Gaming (e.g. GTAV at 1360x768 at Lowest Settings and Other Low end PC Gaming). So It'll Support my PC, Right?

The PSU concerns me. (Claimed) 380W should work. But if you get a 5750 that needs 75W, and you add in your low end CPU and board, you could be looking at ~175W draw? I don't know if your, claimed, 380W PSU has the 6pin PCIe plug on it, and if it can really do 380W. The 710 has a draw of ~18W. So you are asking a lot more from your PSU. I would consider a PSU upgrade if you are upgrading the GPU. Until you know for sure your PSU is good enough to handle your GPU I wouldn't buy a new GPU.

BTW It's a Sapphire 5750. Also will it supports and fit in my Gigabyte H61M-S2PV REV 2.2 Motherboard? Thanks

If you have a pcie 710 in your pc, the 5750 will work just fine. Assuming the psu is enough.
