Question Will a High Bandwidth SLI bridge work on older GTX 660 Ti 's ?

I want to change my SLI bridge because it gets in the way of my fans and I cannot close my case. I have two GTX 660 Ti's in SLI and I'm wondering if these new High Bandwidth SLI bridges are compatible with my current cards? Each card has two slots so it looks like it will fit but my questions are:

A) Would it work?
B) Would I actually receive any benefit over the little flimsy bridge connector I have now?

I'd prefer to just buy a $10 flimsy connector but just curious if its worth the extra money on my older cards since there isn't much info online from what I could find.

A. Yes I believe it would work

B. No because SLI is essentially dead at this point and its is 99.999999% of the time better to just buy a single better card.

You'd be better off buying a new card like a 1660ti or RTX2060 or even a RX580 (which are super cheap)

It's not worth it. GTX660 always make alot heat. I could imagine if there is GTX660*2 can not defeat 960 Ithink.
