Question Will a i5 7400 bottleneck a rx 5700

I currently have the choice of upgrading my gpu or cpu but I am more a gamer so would prefer to do gpu, the rx 5700 is in my price range and don’t won’t to get a rtx 2060 cause I would like freesync. Will it run fine with my i5 7400?

I play many games (at 1080p on 144hz) - the single player games like witcher, ghost recon breakpoint, and stuff like that I want a constant smooth like 70+ FPS on ultra while on competitive games like csgo, rainbow, Fortnite etc I would like to have 160+ FPS constant. But I really just want to get all out of the card I can. My Psu is a 535w raidmax 80 + bronze

I could try also upgrade to a i5 9400f, would get Ryzen but it is expensive in my country

The 7400 was feeling the 4c/4t crunch when even it released almost 3 years ago...

However, if you are happy with it's frame rates(especially minimums) at 640x480, you'd probably have similar frame rates at 1080P max, but, I'd be planning on 6c/12t as your next minimum spec system...

Depending on the game you won’t achieve a steady 60fps in cpu heavy games regardless of gpu choice. Unfortunately 4 core/thread CPU’s have not aged well for modern cpu heavy games.
