ingtar33 Glorious Dec 17, 2012 9,132 423 46,040 May 3, 2015 #3 Levoration : the socket for my motherboard is a LGA1150 and the i75820k says the socket is LGA 2011-v3 absolutely not. the i7-5820k is a LGA 2011 chip, that's a lga 1150 motherboard. the i7-5820k goes with x99 motherboards, nothing else. LGA 2011-3 is an entirely different socket, which uses the X99 chipset. Upvote 0 Downvote
