Will a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 be compatible for my system?

Hey fellow readers,

my nvidia gtx 680 died on me today, and I am in reach of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960. However, I am far from an expert on computers and would like some advice on my system specs:

Motherboard: Asus P7P55D-E Deluxe
intel core i7 2600k @ 3.40ghz
RAM:Sector 5, DDR3; 4x 2GB Sector 5
450Watt powersupply

My plan is to use it for gaming.

If I have missed any vital information, let me know and I will update accordingly with information!

Well for starters I would go with a 1060, but it would be compatible.

If price is a factor, would you still recommend the 1060? Im getting the 960 for free which is why I am even in the position to get this graphics card.

Also, which part of my system spec should I be looking at upgrading first?

If those are too many questions thats fine, Im just lost in a jungle of oppertunities of hardware without any real knowledge except for reviews to make choices.
