Ive just disconnected my wireless card from my Alienware to install a new cooler, realizing that the back plate isnt removable and I’ve just wasted 60$ It was pretty disappointing.

After plugging everything back in, my PC wont boot up, Ive beet trying to troubleshoot it for hours but I cant figure it out. It cant be the PSU since I did the Paperclip trick and worked.

I couldnt reinstall the wireless card because I somehow lost the plastic cover which keeps the wires in place attached to the card.

After calling up Alienware support, they didnt help at all. Said it was a motherboard problem... somehow?

Of course a PC will boot up without a WiFi card.
The vast majority of desktops have no WiFi card. At least 95%.

You probably just didn't connect something correctly.

And the paperclip test on a PSU is not an indicator of functionality.
That's like turning the key in your car, and the dashboard lights come one. Says nothing about whether the engine runs or not.
