I am thinking about expanding with an editing pc build, I however, have a tighter budget to work with, and being I already have a gtx 750 Ti for this, would a pentium g3258 and 8 gigs corsair vengeance ram (2x4gb) work out for livestreaming games and recording games on my ps4 via my elgato? Thanks in advance! If not, please recommend another cpu, and I'd stream in 720p or 1080p (most likely 1080p) so please tell me if that would work. Thanks again. I will also be using openbroadcaster for my livestreaming just as a sidenote if it helps. it is the older elgato too.

the g3258 has a technology called quick sync. and obs broadcaster supports that. it makes streamer MUCH easier to do with lower end hardware and wont really have an impact on yoru games performance. that's an option.

well what cpu and system are you using now?

but for streaming and recording games and the like i really recommend an i5 anyway if you can get that into your budget. but the quick sync option may be enough horsepower for your needs. also what is your internet connection?
