Question Will a quad channel Ram Config work with my Ryzen 5 1600?

I have a 2x8gb dual channel config now at 3200mhz, and was wondering if I could upgrade to a quad channel if it's possible with my Ryzen 5 1600.

nope. the memory controller built into the CPU is dual channel ready only. you can run the board with 4 sticks of the board has 4 slots but quad-channel is a no.

As said above, you can run 4 sticks but they won't be quad channel. Also, combining sticks that weren't purchased together in a single kit is not guaranteed to work together, and in general it can be a little harder to get 4 sticks working at a given speed compared to 2. Lastly, for most applications (including gaming) 16GB is already plenty.

I guess that he means to use four sticks which is fine. Might be that speed needs to be lowered to have it working stable.
