Question Will a regular 2.5 caddy fit in my Samsung Series 7 Chronos?

I have a Samsung Series 7 Chronos that looks like the one shown here: https://www.dragonblogger.com/samsung-series-7-chronos-ssd-drive-replacement/

I want to replace the optical drive with a 2.5 caddy to hold a second SSD device. The problem is that this model does not have a removable optical drive, but comes with a "slit" (not sure if that's the name?) Here's what it looks like:

Will a regular 2.5 caddy fit in this laptop or do I have to buy a particular caddy to make it fit?

You could disassemble the laptop's underside, then take a measurement of the ODD that's in the laptop in question. My guestimation is that it's 9.5mm or 12.7mm.

Take measurements before pulling that purchase trigger.
