I have a a320m motherboard and I am just wondering if a bios update is required for a ryzen 7 2700x to work on it.

Agree with above. The CURRENT website only shows a v30 and v34 BIOS revision in the support list. Without knowing if there was an older BIOS version (which would be odd for them not to show) it is of note to mention that in description the v30 one says "new BIOS release".

How are you checking the BIOS?
If you have a current and compatible chip you can easily update to the newest one if you aren't already.

Since ALL CPUs show the 7B84v30 as the minimum, I am guessing that was the first BIOS released for that board. Even 1700 and 1500 show that BIOS and those were some of the very first CPUs.
ok. so do I need a bios update or will it be fine how it is?
