Will a Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with PCI-Express Graphics Card work with Optiplex760SSF?

I have a Dell 0M859N motherboard, in a Dell OptiPlex 760 SFF. I like the system for now, the only problem is that I want a better video card. This is difficult with the 225W power supply. I want to move everything inside the computer into a bigger tower (non SFF). Will I be able to move this into a bigger box? If this is possible, will the motherboard be able to support a bigger power supply and graphics card?

I'm looking at buying either of the two: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with PCI-Express Graphics Card Boost 11230-00-20G and EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti with G-SYNC Support 2GB GDDR5 128bit, Dual-Link, DVI-I, HDMI, DP Graphics Card (02G-P4-3751-KR)

I'm not too savvy when it comes to motherboards and graphics cards. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did something similar for my first build a long time ago, basically it couldn't handle the hardware and then shit the bed 2 months after. Personally i've found it better to just spend the extra cash and get the proper hardware, even if it means saving longer. You'll have less problems in the future.

So which hardware would you suggest getting? A brand new motherboard/dual processor?

Personally I would say save some money and go for a new build. Dual core processors are out of date. Usually the components you get in a pre-built PC such as dell will be the bare minimum. You can probably salvage the Hard drive(s) and memory, other than that, if you want a gaming pc, build a new one. have a look on Scan.co.uk I get all my parts from there.

right now the i5 4690k is on sale, that is very worth buying if you cam afford it. a decent motherboard would be around 120

and i5 4690k is a great processor, and a decent MB you can get for about £80 give or take. also, if you're going for the r9's get a 280x instead of the 280, it makes all the difference
