Will a slower memory speed inpact performance? DDR4 2666 vs 2400

I am planning on buying my PC this friday/next Monday and I have just under enough to buy the rest of my parts that I want, well I mean what if they don't go on sale and I don't make the cut. Would saving money and buying a 2400 speed ram vs 2666 impact performance? I want to get the G.Skill Ripjaws v series (2x8) 16GB 2666, but kind of want to make some money cuts in places if I can in a worst case scenario.

Operating RAM at 2400 rather than 2666 will not make a significant difference. You won't even notice it, for gaming these days 2400Mhz is more than enough in terms of speed

it will make about 2-4 GB/s bandwidth diffrence, but you dont notice that as already posted.
