hello and I was wondering if a wifi card will fit in my case. its suppose to go into the small slot(pci express?) and it may not fit with my graphic card
motherboard: asus m5a99fx pro
graphic card: xfx r9 270x
wifi card: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCe
Thanks!

Solution
The motherboard only has 1 pci-e 1x slot and it is where the second slot of a gpu would be, thus blocking the port.

You an put a PCI-E 1X slot in a PCI-E 16X slot just fine, so just install the wifi card in any of the full size pci-e slots.

the motherboard only has one pci express and its the closest to the graphic card. I dont want to move my graphic card because that slot is the fastest

As long as there is room for both cards, that's perfectly fine.

thats the point, will it fit?

PCIe is PCIe.

"A PCIe card will physically fit (and work correctly) in any slot that is at least as large as it is (e.g. an x1 card will work in a x4 or x16 slot), and a slot of a large physical size (e.g. x16) can be wired electrically with fewer lanes (e.g. x1 or x8; however, it must still provide the power and ground connections required by the larger physical slot size)."

is the x16 slot the graphic card slot?

A graphics card is the only common type of card that needs 16 pci lanes (simultaneous connections).

You can still put an 8x, 4x, and 1x card in a 16x slot and it will work just fine.

Keep the GPU in the top slot because that is often the only slot with ac actual 16 lanes in it
The other ports only have 8x or 4x lanes in them, but are sized to fit 16x cards
