Hey,
I'm thinking of dual booting mac and windows on two seperate ssd's and want to add in a hdd for storage. Could I use the same hdd, with 1 partition on both systems?
OR
Could I use two hdd's for mac and windows each? If I do this would the mac hdd asked to be formatted every time I log into windows.(becasue it wil be formatted as mac osx extended journal)?
Thanks

Hey there, Pavster.

Basically this dual-boot setup can be done both ways - by using 1 drive with two separate partitions or 2 drives (one for each OS). The HDD for storage would probably have to be formatted with the exFAT files system in order to be recognized by both Mac OS X and Windows. Windows should not require you to reformat the partition/drive, which you've formatted for Mac OS X each time you boot to Windows. However, as a WD representative, I can't give you pointers on how to setup a hackintosh, so you'd have to figure that on your own.

Hope that helps.
