[SOLVED] Will a xfx r7 260x work in a Hackintosh?

My father wants a new mac for his birthday, as his is nearly 7 years old. I was going to build him a PC/hackintosh as it is much cheaper and this way he can play games with me. I was going to buy myself a new r9 280x and give him my xfx r7 260x if that is possible.

It should work. Apparently R9 290 and R9 290X won't work.

it says that the r7 200 series wont work, that is what I was going to give him, a r7 260x.
