Hi. I recently (about a month ago) bought gtx 1080, and planned to buy better cpu in the future. Currently I have i5-4590. And since, In addition to gaming, I will also be doing video editing, photoshop and some streaming in very near future (weeks), I've decided to finish upgrading my PC now.

I think i7-6700k will be good for what I need, right? I want it for gaming, as well as video & photo editing + I want it future proof for at least a few years.

Anyway, here is the list of parts I already have:

And parts I want to buy:

Now, my questions are..

■Will all this fit in this case I have (define r5)?
■Will ram fit under the cooler I've chosen?
■Do you think I could do better for the money I'm using? I plan to use this PC for next few years, without any major upgrades

Thank you!

Edit: I also want to get into VR sometime soon I hope :)

1. Yes
2. yes.
3. Yes.

The NH-D15 is a great cooler, but it is HUGE.
I would opt for the Noctua NH-U14s instead. The s variants are redesigned for better ram clearance and are offset so a graphics card in slot one will not be impacted.

I hope you have included a 240gb or 500gb ssd for windows.

Thanks. Yeah, I already have 240gb ssd, and will be adding a HDD or a 500gb ssd . Currently I have to keep on deleting files and stuff for space.

And I will look into NH-U14s. Thanks for the suggestion..

EDIT: You answered #3 as "Yes". What do you think I could do better? Cooler, or anything else aswell?
