hi,

im planning on building a pc soon with :
AMD FX 8350 CPU (i am also thinking of spending a bit extra and getting the AMD FX 9590)
AMD MSI R9 380 4gb GPU
16gb 1866 DDR3 RAM
Corsair 850 watt modular PSU
120gb SSD for windows and 1TB HDD for storage of games etc
still deciding on a motherboard, recommendations are welcome:)

do you guys think this will be a bad bottleneck or would it be ok?, i know the pc will be powerful enough but im not sure how bad my frames will drop and i would like atleast 50-60fps in all games on high

Thanks😀

Solution

No, it won't bottleneck.

Intel i5 and i7 and also FX 6300 and 8300 series CPUs won't bottleneck a single high end GPU in modern, multi-threaded games. You will be having a nice gaming experience...

Thanks man, atleast i know now i wont waste money😀, 1 more question, do you have any recommendations on monitors, also i know AMD runs hot so i will get a high airflow case and might just liquid cool CPU, would that be fine?

It Would be alot better if you liquid cool your cpu which will keep temps down .Higher temps at load cause Freezing Random shut down and stuttering in games.Using liquid cool and high air flow case will eliminate these errors

I would recommend the H80i GT if you're going to water cool your CPU. It's a great cooler and it keeps my Fx 9590 temps below 50C at full load. One thing you will have to do is replace the stock fans on it with much quieter fans. Because the stock fans sound like a jet.

Also, the motherboard I would recommend is the brand new Gigabyte GA 990fx Gaming. I have it and it is a very good quality mobo. It's up to you if you want to spend extra and get a 9590. If you are then the Ga gaming mobo would be a great choice.

great thanks guys, i know jet noise as my current pc is like that lol, i dont want that anymore so i will get the silent fans and i am going to get a high airflow case and will most probably do liquid cooling, i looked at the cooler master V8 GTS cause my brother uses it for his AMD build and the fan stopped working on it and it still keeps his pc at 60 max under full load just under heatsinks, so it is pretty decent but i think i will go liquid and i check that motherboard, thanks a lot guys😀
