Will AMD FX-8350 work with 2133 MHz RAM speed?

I will buy an AMD FX-8350 with this motherboard "Asrock 970 Extreme4 AM3+" and I will buy this RAM "G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 PC3-17000 8GB 2x4GB CL11" because cost 66€, other options are 1866 MHz for 65€, or a lot of varieties of 1600 MHz RAM for same or a little higher price, so for this price getting a 2133 instead of others with less speed is a good idea.

But the thing is somewhere on AMD website, I don't remember where I saw that FX-8350 can run RAM maximum at 1866 MHz (but the number was 1866^2, I don't know what means this square exponential.) If I buy a 2133 RAM it will just run maximum at 1866 and I won't have any compatibility problems no?

I wud not reccomend u 2133mhz ram as the diff in performance while goin from 1866mhz to 2133 would be equal to a 25mhz gpu core clock increase
And moreover they are cl11 rams that are not reccomended
Get cl9 ram it would be better perfrming

At this price/performance level you really won't see much of a difference with the higher speed RAM. If you do go ahead and buy the 2133 and your CPU isn't compatible, the RAM will downclock itself to the slower speed to match what you can support. The system will bottleneck elsewhere other than the RAM, which is why you won't see much benefit.

I will get then the "G.Skill Sniper DDR3 1866 PC3-14900 8GB 2x4GB CL9" is cl9 and 1866MHz. And what the problem with different cl? I thought that getting the higher cl is the best option.

Cl means latency which needs to be lower so that the ram is more speedy

I hope I am not too late but you have chosen a 970 chipset motherboard. The recommended chipset for the 8350 is a 990 motherboard because of the TDP of 125W. I made the same mistake and on heavier games my pc started lagging because of that power shortage. I would recommend one these motherboards:

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 around 130 euros
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 around 110 euros
ASRock 990fx extreme 3 around 89 euros

Or maybe you won't notice at all since my mother board was around 10 euros cheaper than yours.
