I am interested in the Ryzen 5900G. Do you think AMD will release the 5800G and 5900G CPUs to the DIYer at the end of the year or early 2022?

As the Anandtech piece shows, there is no 5800G or 5900G. There is already an 8 core/16 thread 5700G in retail though.

Maybe you mean the 5800 or 5900, non-X. They're listed as OEM but I'm sure we'll be able to find OEM parts being resold on eBay or elsewhere. They are OEM parts and marked with an OEM part number though, that means they're not likely to come with a warranty from AMD. So if you get a bad one your only recourse is to the seller.

But if you think you find a retail or boxed 5800 or 5900 part (packaged in a retail box as you could find a 5700G) you'd probably be getting a fake CPU. Or at least a fake box with a real, but OEM, CPU inside.
