hello guys
I have an old PC with these specifications :

-motherboard : PCI-EXPRESS 1.0 in the graphic interface

-CPU : intel core 2 duo E6850 @ 3GHZ

-memory : DDR3 4GBytes
  • PSU : GAMEMAX 800W BRONZE
a picture taken from CPU-Z is attached .

could this run for mining and achieves 30mh normally ? , if not, does it have any risk on the graphic card ?
thanks

Solution
You will most likely be bottlenecked, PCIe 1.0 only allows a throughput of 4GB/s on a 16x slot, at the least you want a 2.0 port for full utilization of the RX 580 which can reach up to 8 GB/s bandwidth.

Physically the card will fit the motherboard and the 2.0 spec will be just enough.

But this
PSU : GAMEMAX 800W

Is definitely going to be a problem, you really don't want to pair a power hungry AMD card with a low quality power supply let alone for mining, some would say it's suicide... I'd say it's 1st degree murder, literal rage against the machine, either the PSU could simply cease working without a fuss or take the graphics card with it.
