So I was building my pc and inserted my Ryzen 3700X onto my Asus X470 Pro Motherboard. But when I tried to switch it on the motherboard glows and stuff but I cannot see anything on my display. I have my display port cable on my motherboard hooked up to my monitor but nothing shows. Even when I plugged in my keyboard / mouse they do not light up. Is this due to my BIOS on my motherboard not being updated?
If so is it possible to update the BIOS without having an older CPU?
When i saw this pic https://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/AMD-X570-Support.jpg regarding AMD 3000 compatibility with motherboards, because X470 just had a tick. I was under the impression the Ryzen 3000 would work straight away without doing a BIOS update.
