Will an am3+ (or am3) cpu work on a am2 socket?

I want to buy a new cpu but i cant find better cpus than mine will an am3 or am3+ work on an am2 socket
I have a asus m2n e sli motherboard

No. You need to get a new motherboard with a newer socket

That mb only supports am2. If it was the m2n-e sli deluxe would support am2+. That would mean it would support am3 chips but only ddr2 Ram.
It isnt the deluxe version, is it?
