Hello, I'm in the market for a new GPU because my GTX 550ti is not cutting it anymore. If i bought a new GTX 1060 would my processor ruin the experience? For reference I just play at 1080p so I won't be maxing games out at 1440p or anything crazy. Will this processor be suitable? Thanks.

Performance wise that is similar to my X6 1100T.

In technical terms yes it is a bottleneck. However I run an RX 480 on mine and while its bottlenecked other than Star Citizen I haven't run into a game where that bottleneck causes a playability or huge performance issue. I get 80-100 fps playing Doom maxed out with no issue at all. The RX 480 and GTX 1060 generally perform the same.

Thank you, that's really good to hear. So far my cpu has been nothing but reliable so it's good that I will be able to keep using it.
