Will an ASRock 960GM-VGS3 FX work with a GTX960

I'm running an ASRock 960GM-VGS3 FX motherboard with an FX-6350 6 core CPU. The motherboard lacks PCI-E power socket. I am looking to get a GTX-960 GPU which has an 8-pin PCI-E power socket. My PSU is 450 watts which, according to the Nvidia website, is more than enough for the GTX960, but that PCI-E power connector has me halted, and I want to know what I would need in order to make this combination work.

A high quality PSU of adequate size is always the most important part of a good solid gaming system. The FX-6350 either stock or OC'ed and one of the 4 GB GTX 960 cards will make you very satisfied. You can even OC with those components and the XFX PSU I linked to above. If that price is too high for a PSU, I can suggest a lower cost one that will be... satisfactory.
Thank you for the reply. My PSU (I think) is a Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply. If it doesn't have what I need from the getgo, I believe there are plenty of adapters on amazin I can buy.

Although Antec makes some very good PSUs, some even made by Seasonic, the VP line is their bargain basement line made by Fortron. It doesn't even have a 6 pin connector, let alone a 6+2 pin. With only 2 x +12V rails rated at 18A each (360W), it will is unsuitable for that card and the rest of your system. Remember, efficiency drops off fast after 80% usage. You can try using adapters, but you may experience shut-downs or restarts when the PSU is maxed out.

If you get one of the non-factory OC'ed 120W GTX 960 and refrain from doing any OC'ing on your own, you may possibly squeak by OK. Same goes for your CPU. Don't OC with that PSU.

The wisest move would be to invest in a new PSU as well as the card.

Alright, which model/make can you recommend for me? Since I found out what I have won't be powerful enough, I'm looking towards one with an output of 750 or so watts. I'll be investing in a different Graphics card as well since The steps are already massive.
