will an asus z97 pro-wifi support 3 way SLI?

So I recently decided that I needed another computer, and I got a great deal on some parts ($150 for an i7 4790k and $300 for a gtx 980), and so now I have all the stuff except for a mobo. I am about to get a second gtx 980 and so I will be using sli. My question was will the Asus z97 pro wifi support 3way sli incase I ever decide to get another 980? If you have a better suggestion for a motherboard I'm all ears, the reason I looking at this one is because I can get it for $100, plus it has USB 3.1

No it will do two cards in SLI which is fine, very little benefit from going 3 way SLI when the time comes you may be looking at upgrade to better cards anyway.

Well how come it has three PCI express ports on it?

It will not do triple SLI, as thier are only two 3.0 x16 slots. It can do triple CrossfireX, however. And for the above posts, they mean it can do quad if you have two dual graphics cards.

Third slot is at ver 2.0 at X4 so will not work for SLI although it will do Quad SLI with 2 x 2 GPU cards like GTX690.
