Will an HD7950 get bottlenecked?

Currently, I'm contemplating getting an MSI Twin Frozr HD7950 (it's a PCIe 3.0 card)

My motherboard supports PCIe 3.0, but my CPU is an i5 2500k which apparently doesn't 'support' PCIe 3.0

What sort of problems could this lead to (if any) and will I see much of a performance decrease in comparison to a PCIe 3.0-compatible CPU?

There will be no bottleneck. If fact you could probally add a second 7950 and not have one.

Your fine no worries i run 2x 670's in Sli with a i5-2500k no issues so there no reason you should have any with a weaker card.
